그동안 스튜디오 언라벨에서는 각기 다른 10개의 마르디 메크르디 스토어를 디자인해왔다. 스토어마다 정체성을 달리하여 고객에게 새로운 경험들을 주어야 한다는 신조에 따랐지만 이번엔 좀 특별주문을 따랐다. 어떠한 코멘트도 없이 단 하나 조건만 강조하며 ‘멋’ 있어야 한다는 것.

 

패션의 영역을 넘어 음악, 공연, 전시와 예술이 어우러져 고객들이 스스로 문화적 형성을 이룰 수 있는 공간이 될 수 있게 기획되었다. 이 모든것을 표현할 클래식한  표현을 빌려 ‘마당과 잔치’를 콘셉트로 삼게 되었다.

 

공간에 넉넉함을 주고 이리저리 건물 곳곳을 둘러 다니며 공간에서 일어나는 이벤트를 경험하고 마르디 메크르디뿐만 아니라 다양한 브랜드들이 참여하며 이 공간이 언제나 흥미로운 장소가 될수 있게 프로그램과 동선을 만듦으로써 공간의 필요성과 목적성이 선명해지게 되었다.

 

마르디 메크르디는 점점 더 문화적인 접근으로 산뜻함과 진정성을 동시에 만들어가는 브랜드의 가치를 이번 프로젝트를 통해 다시 한번 증명하고 있다.

In the meantime, Studiounravel has designed 10 distinct Mardi Mercredi stores, each with its own unique identity. While our belief has always been to provide customers with fresh experiences, this time we deviated from that, focusing on just one condition—it must be ‘cool.’

 

The space was designed to allow customers to create their own cultural experiences by integrating music, shows, exhibitions, and art beyond fashion. Drawing inspiration from a Korean classic expression, ‘The Yard Party,’ we reflected it as the main theme to encompass all of these elements.

 

Throughout the process, by providing sufficient space between areas, encouraging exploration from corner to corner, and planning engaging programs and movements to maintain the space’s allure, the purpose and the neccessity of the space has been clarified -not only for Mardi Mercredi but also opens for various brands to collaborate with.

 

Mardi Mercredi once again proves its value and distinctive identity by blending brightness and genuineness through more culturally driven approaches through this project.
